About Me

Hello and welcome to my website, Om and Eve. My name is Chelsea, a yoga teacher dedicated to guiding you on a transformative journey towards holistic well-being and optimal health through Yoga and Ayurveda.

My teaching style is a mixture of Vinyasa, Hatha and Yin, with some Yoga Nidra added into the mix, to create a diverse and enriching experience on the mat. But what truly sets my teachings apart is my interest in women’s health yoga, specialising in pregnancy, postnatal, and honouring the rhythms of the menstrual cycle.

I have always enjoyed moving my body having grown up going to various dance classes and studying dancing at college. When I first began my yoga journey in 2018, I immediately felt a connection to it, it reminded me of a kind of dance practice, flowing from one pose to another. It gave me a sense of freeness that I was in desperate need of as I began to struggle with my mental health around this time.

In January 2020 I decided to take myself on a bit of a self-discovery journey (so cliché but it’s true!) and signed up to do my 200-hour yoga teacher training, and in no better place than in the yoga hub of the world, Rishikesh, India.

I had no intention of becoming a yoga teacher, in fact I never thought it would be something I was good at, my flexibility was ok but I didn’t deem it worthy enough to call myself a “yoga teacher”, because back then I thought being a yoga teacher meant being able to twist and stretch your body into odd positions and shapes. However, I discovered so much in those 30 days of training that I came to realise yoga is so much more than being able to touch your toes or balance on your head.

Before I knew it my time in Rishikesh was over but I wasn’t ready to leave, I wanted to learn more, I needed to learn more. This new found knowledge was just the tip of the iceberg and there was so much I still didn’t understand or questions I needed answered (After 5 years there’s still so much I still don’t understand and more questions!). And so began the never-ending rabbit hole of my yoga journey.

From my first teacher training course I have gone on to study and complete my training in Yoga Nidra and various women’s health related yoga training with Sally Parkes, such as pre and postnatal, fertility and womb health. My desire for learning didn’t stop there though, I embarked on a new journey to discover the fascinating life science of Ayurveda, known as the sister science to Yoga.

Now as a qualified Yoga Teacher and Ayurvedic Consultant, I ask you to join me as we embark on the exploration of the body, mind, and soul together, for self-discovery and empowerment.
